BC Truck Drivers: Ontario Truck Parking Survey Needs your Input!

PrintPrint
Truck drivers who operate in Southern Ontario have an opportunity to review truck parking in the area, rate existing truck stops, and tell the Ontario Ministry of Transportation how to improve the current parting situation and make your life safer and easier.

The Ontario ministry has contracted a third-party, Canadian research firm, SPR Associates, to review safety rest areas in that province and obtain feedback on improvements from truck drivers from across Canada who are familiar with current parking.

The survey has been underway for a number of months but needs more responses from BC long-haul truck drivers.  If you can help, please click the survey link below.  Your answers will help convince the Ontario government that change is needed, and where/how it can most usefully invest in truck parking.  Please click the link to go to the survey website:

Please note that data collected by the survey is stored on a dedicated, secure website in Canada (no data is stored on US servers), and your response is confidential. As well, SPR will not share identifiable answers with anyone outside its research team. SPR's 30-year track record in surveys supports this guarantee.

The survey will be available until the April 2018, but please respond asap.  If you have questions, feel free to contact the survey director, Ted Harvey, at ted.harvey@spr.ca.

Thank you for your help in pursuing progress on this important industry health and safety issue.
