The procedures for coordinating driver evaluations\, maintaining vehicle records\, and setting up driver paperwork and retrieval are discussed.\nThe course will also focus on the need for proper record-keeping practices\, looking at all National Safety Code paperwork requirements\, including driver abstracts\, driver files\, vehicle files\, National Safety Code Profiles\, and more. It outlines the creation and maintenance of a recall system to be used for driver’s licences\, vehicle files and insurance. Preparation for audits is discussed\, with the responsibilities of the record keeper outlined in terms of setting up and maintaining all files related to the National Safety Code. Additionally\, the Motor Vehicle Act regulations are reviewed to ensure participants comprehend their legal obligations under the NSC\, the application of its standards to all carriers\, and the potential operational impacts of failing an audit.
