Zeroing in on ZEV: BCTA Showcases the Largest Display of Low- & Zero-Emission Commercial Vehicles in Canada

The last intake of the CleanBC Heavy-duty Vehicle Efficiency (HDVE) Program marked a remarkable success. A record $3 million in incentives were distributed to eligible carriers across British Columbia toward fuel efficient equipment, which helped to reduce their operating costs and their carbon footprint.

In order to apply for Year-five CleanBC Heavy-duty Vehicle Efficiency (HDVE) Program rebates, at least one company representative must have completed the CleanBC HDVE Program Course at least once between August 2022-August 2024.
BCTA Advocates for the Use of Self- and Remote-Steering Dollies in BC
On September 22, 2023, on behalf of the BCTA Heavy Haul Committee, BCTA requested that the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) revise their manned-steering dollies policy to include the use of self-steering and remote-steering dollies in the province.
Specifically, BCTA requested an amendment to MoTI’s manned-steering dolly policy to allow carriers to use self-steering or remote-steering dollies in the Province of BC under the same loads, configurations, and conditions as those provided under the manned-steering dolly policy.
