The City of Abbotsford is issuing a reminder that Highway 11 still remains closed to all traffic between Downes Road and McCallum Road. Given this situation, truck drivers are having difficulty connecting from the MacLure Road truck route to Highway 11, especially when exiting Abbotsford towards the City of Mission.

Heavy-duty trucks are being advised to use Mt Lehman Road and Harris Road as the alternate temporary truck route as Highway 11 is closed south of Downes Road (please see map here). Please refrain from using Gladwin Road as intersections along this route are not wide enough for truck turning movements at intersections and traffic backups are occurring. This temporary truck route is preferred for both entry and exit purposes to the City from the east for the foreseeable future.
