Please note the following updated December 2021 closures schedule for Phase four of the Kicking Horse Canyon project:

Single lane Alternating Traffic (30 min delays):

Dec 1- Dec 22: 9am-3pm, 6pm-10pm

Dec 23: 9am-3pm

Full closures:

Dec 1-Dec 22: 10pm -7am

Dec 23: 12am- 7am

*Dec 24- Dec 31: Open 24 hours

Reminder: Please continue to plan your travel in advance and check DriveBC.ca and provincial travel advisories here for detailed and up-to-date information. Additionally, during traffic diversion periods, expect increased presence and enforcement from RCMP and Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Officers. Be sure to educate drivers on designated rest areas along the route for commercial vehicles to ensure compliance with hours of service. Information on provincial rest areas can be found here.
