The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is upgrading a four-kilometre segment of the Highway 7 Widening project – 266th Street to 287th Street in Maple Ridge will be widened from an undivided two-lane highway to four lanes with a centre median barrier. This is the final undivided two-lane section of the highway between Maple Ridge and Mission.

Since 2019, public input has been considered along with technical analysis, stakeholder and interest group coordination, and cost consideration to shape the current design. Read the Summer 2022 summary of public and stakeholder engagement to learn more.

The project is now out for tender and construction will begin in fall 2022 following contract award.  Information about the current design and next steps can be found here.
