The Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) will be implementing intermittent lane closures, overnight full closures and extended closures on Trans-Canada Highway for the Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 construction through September.

All through traffic on Highway 1 from Golden to Castle Junction will be routed via highways 93S and 95 for the extended closure (an additional 1.5 hours travel time), with exceptions.

Roadside signs will provide advance notification of the closure and there will also be signs on the alternative routes. Drivers are advised to use caution and watch for wildlife, school children and school buses while travelling the alternative routes. Click here for the September Traffic schedule.

Drivers are reminded to obey construction zone speed limits and the directions of traffic personnel. Updates on delays will be available online at DriveBC.ca.
