SafetyDriven’s 7th Annual Speaker Series- Taking Safety to the Bank- is coming soon to Surrey, BC, and none other than Dave Earle, BCTA President & CEO, will open up the event with his presentation on Safe & Sustainable Trucking- the Smart Way.
Dave will explore factors to consider to not only improve commercial vehicle safety but also how a sustainable approach to business often boosts performance. Building sustainable business strategies involves more than focusing on profits. To improve recruitment and retention, the commercial transportation industry must use a values-driven approach that supports the overall health and safety of employees. Incorporating sustainable and safe practices into your business model can be transformational for your company’s success. Sustainability does not mean sacrificing profits– find out how being purpose-driven attracts a motivated and skilled workforce that drives financial success.
We are also excited that Theo Heineman is joining us as this year’s keynote speaker. Theo is widely recognized as a leader and expert in business, entrepreneurship, and Safety Management Systems. She is an international speaker and trainer in the areas of workplace safety management systems, change management, and human performance having worked across Canada, the USA, and the UK. Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Three Time Canadian Society of Safety Engineers Award, and a Canadian Safety Leader of the Year Finalist are just a few accolades on Theo’s list.
Theo’s presentation, Take Safety & Health to the Bank – The New Currency of Optimal Organizational Performance will discuss how safety can be the greatest driver of your company’s profitability. Generative leaders have long recognized that effective Safety Management results in positive organizational performance including the bottom line. However, in 2022 and beyond, for the commercial transportation industry to not only survive but thrive, a new currency must be recognized and generated. Theo will also hold a workshop called Skills for Safety Mangers: Are you the Hero, Villain, or Guide? where she will discuss what are the roles that the various workplace parties should and should not play (hero, villain, guide).
