As part of the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project, crews have been conducting work since late June to rehabilitate the Royal Avenue overpass in New Westminster. This work is being done in stages. Occasional nighttime lane closures for northbound traffic (towards New Westminster) on the Pattullo Bridge and nighttime full closures of the Bridge Connector in both directions have been required while this work has been underway.

Traffic Impacts:

The next closures are scheduled for:

• Thursday, November 17 between 10 pm and 5 am

• Friday, November 18 between 10 pm and 5 am

Royal Avenue eastbound will be reduced to a single lane east of Dufferin Street. The Royal Avenue on-ramp will remain open. Pattullo Bridge users going to New Westminster are encouraged to take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser bridges during the northbound lane closures.

TransLink’s single lane closure for southbound traffic on the Pattullo Bridge will remain in effect; however, one southbound lane will remain open. Motorists coming from McBride Boulevard will be detoured to use the Columbia Street on-ramp. The Royal Avenue on-ramp will remain open.
