Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) has issued an updated Winter 2022 traffic schedule (covering dates until December 31, 2022).

Please note that KHCC has completed the work required to open the new eastbound lanes ahead of schedule.  The Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) east of Golden is now open (as of November 25th at 6am MST).  Traffic will now use much of the newly-built infrastructure, using future eastbound lanes, while construction continues on the new westbound lanes.

Winter hours will be in effect, generally consisting of half-hour stoppages during part of the day, along with overnight closures from 10 pm to 7 am. As always, detailed traffic management information is posted on the highway status calendar, with up-to-date conditions reported on DriveBC.

The project is slated for completion in winter 2023-24 with the next stretch of full highway closures expected in spring 2023. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Cory Paterson and please keep us posted with your experience of the new highway.
