Please join BCTA Policy Analyst Samira Hosseina online on Thursday, May 25th at 9:30am to learn more about the recent updates and improvements made to the Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) Grant Program to make it easier than ever for members to apply for grants.

The need for drivers continues to place immense operational pressures on commercial trucking companies to transport goods safely and efficiently to consumers. Attracting more drivers is crucial to industry success, which are why grant programs are critical to address this issue. The BCTA MELT Grant Program provides funding to eligible British Columbians who want to improve their skills or pursue a career in the transportation sector by becoming Professional Class 1 drivers. This grant program is only available to BCTA members.

During the info session, Samira will outline the recent changes that were implemented to streamline the application process, reduce barriers to entry, and increase the number of successful grant applications. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A period.

BCTA is making it easier for drivers to access the training they need for a rewarding and fulfilling career. Be sure to take advantage of the MELT Grant Program- visit the training calendar for more details and to register today!
