Agenda update: Join us for a virtual meeting of the Board of Directors on Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 3:15 to 4:15 pm. All members are welcome.

By tradition, the last Board meeting of the year precedes our annual Christmas Party on the first Thursday in December, and members are welcome to attend. In-person celebrations are still out for 2020, but the Board meeting will take place via Zoom as scheduled.

BCTA President & CEO Dave Earle will be speaking about:

  • BC’s mandatory entry-level training standard for commercial vehicle drivers, coming for 2021;
  • the federal electronic logging device mandate, scheduled for June 2021, and a likely provincial ELD mandate; and
  • an update on sustainability issues, including alternate fuels, where the technology is at, and what BCTA is doing on this front on members’ behalf.

Your questions on these topics will be welcome.

If you are interested in applying to work on the Board in future or just want to learn more about how the association works, current issues, and BCTA initiatives, we’d be pleased to have you there.

Please click here to register. Once registration is confirmed, we will contact you with details about how to join the meeting.
