Ever wonder whether your employee compensation and benefits package is competitive?

Retention and recruitment continue to be well-known challenges in the industry, and BCTA is committed to ensuring that members are equipped with benchmarking data to assist in the process of comparing your company’s compensation and benefit offerings with that of others and making sure they are competitive.

Why should you bother with yet another survey? Consider this – accurate wage and benefit information for the trucking industry is hard to come by, and the few reputable sources that gather this type of information can charge a hefty chunk of change for it! And, the survey gathers information about all positions that motor carriers need to fill, not just drivers. When we tabulate the survey, you will have a reference for compensation and benefits for the full range of employees in your company. We encourage motor carrier members to participate in this survey, with a reminder that we will only provide aggregated data to respondents.

The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete with the necessary information on hand. Some of the information requested will include:

  • Information on your company such as the size, area and type of operation;
  • Information on your employees such as average age and the approximate number of employees of each gender;
  • Benefits your company may provide; and
  • Compensation for owner-operators, company drivers and other staff.
