BCTA partners with CarriersEdge to provide members with discounted industry training online, a benefit that’s even more valuable with some in-person training temporarily on hold. Please see the latest list of new and upcoming CarriersEdge releases:
- Defensive Driving – a completely redesigned course for tractor-trailers with 3D animation, custom characters, and scenarios. Variations for different vehicle types will be coming as well, including:
- French tractor-trailer – later in May
- English straight truck – later in the spring
- Canadian Drug & Alcohol – a completely new course on drug & alcohol awareness for Canadian customers
- Stinger Steer Vehicle Inspection – vehicle inspection for stinger steer is now live
- Mental Health for Drivers – an increasingly important subject for fleets, this course is designed to build awareness of the issue and provide tips for improving mental health on the road. Due out at the end of May.
Slated for Summer: Autohauler Loading/Unloading –will be focused on loading and unloading cargo safely.
Courses in the CarriersEdge library can be taken any time and anywhere drivers have access to a device and an internet connection, giving them the flexibility to keep up to date with training while travelling or at home.
