As part of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, the new off-ramp from Highway 91 northbound to Nordel Way is expected to open on August 20, 2022. Please see map below for location details. Project construction activities will continue in the area during the months ahead as part of improvements to the Highway 91 at Nordel Way Interchange, and a number of traffic pattern changes will be required.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Starting August 20, northbound traffic on Highway 91 will follow signage for Nordel Way to use the new off-ramp and travel to North Delta.
    • Traffic will no longer use the existing left-turn at the signalized intersection as this road will be closed.
  • For Highway 17, northbound traffic on Highway 91 will continue to use the existing loop ramp.
  • Drivers traveling on Highway 91C eastbound will experience a traffic pattern change. Vehicles continuing through Nordel Way northbound will no longer have to stop at the signalized intersection; however, the left turn onto Highway 91 northbound will temporarily remain signalized.
  • There will be additional signage in place to inform drivers about these traffic pattern changes.
