September 4th – 10th is National Trucking Week and BCTA is excited to be able to recognize and thank professional truck drivers in person this year. We know our members are also looking forward to showing their appreciation, which is why we are asking for your help with a few of our upcoming initiatives:

  1. Pop-up Barbecues: We are partnering with SafetyDriven to hold pop-up barbeques at select weigh scales and truck pullouts throughout the Lower Mainland during the week. We would love to make sure drivers don’t leave empty handed, which is why BCTA is welcoming donations of any promotional items that you’d like to contribute to a gift bag.

Donations of any item in any quantity can be dropped off or delivered to the attention of Sandra Stashuk at the BCTA office by Thursday, September 1st:

  1. Say Thank You: We are asking our members to record 10-15 second messages of appreciation to drivers and the trucking community for us to share on social media during National Trucking Week. Messages from anyone and everyone in your organization are welcome!

Please send your video message recording or any questions to Jas Purewal, BCTA Communications Specialist, at JasP@BCTrucking.com.

We are proud of the men and women in our industry who are the backbone of our economy and are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize and thank them personally this year. We always look forward to extending appreciation for their skills, and thank you for your support in making this a National Trucking Week to remember. We got it because a truck brought it!
