As part of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, the new interchange at Highway 17 and Highway 91C will open in stages to westbound and eastbound traffic this summer. This follows the recent opening of the new interchange at Highway 91C and Nordel Way on July 4th.
What to expect:
- Starting August 25, 2022, traffic traveling westbound on Highway 91C will use the new interchange ramp to connect to Highway 17 westbound.
- Traffic turning onto Highway 91C eastbound from Highway 17 westbound will continue to use the existing signalized intersection.
- Starting September 1, 2022, westbound traffic on Highway 17 will remain in the shoulder lane and exit right to use the new interchange ramp to connect to Highway 91C eastbound.
- The existing signalized intersection at this location will be removed once the interchange opens.
- With the opening of this interchange, drivers will experience a number of new traffic pattern changes in the area. Please see the map below for a summary of these changes.
- Drivers are encouraged to follow new signage including overhead guide signs to help navigate the area.
- Construction activities will continue at the project site through spring 2023.
