National Trucking Week (September 4-10) is upon us, and the BC Trucking Association is excited to be able to hit the road and thank drivers in person this year. The contributions that truck drivers make daily are unparalleled. Ask yourself- how many other industries touch almost all aspects of your life? Without the 100,000+ professional drivers in British Columbia, our way of life would be very different.

The November floods that tore our province in half was nothing short of devastating, but the commercial transportation industry was quick to adapt. Your resiliency, dedication, and ability to rapidly develop innovative solutions when British Columbians needed you the most was inspiring. All of us at BCTA wants to thank you, the trucking community, for the essential service you provide. Thank you for your commitment. Thank you for your professionalism.  Thank you for the safe decisions you make every day because it is you that helps drive Canada forward. We look forward to seeing you during this special week at a SafetyDriven and BCTA driver appreciation event near you.

To celebrate National Trucking Week, BCTA & SafetyDriven - Trucking Safety Council of BC will be holding Driver Appreciation BBQs on Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday, September 7th from 11:30am – 2:30pm at the Chevron Cardlock located in Langley on 9385 201 Street. Be sure to join us for a cold drink and burger- we can’t wait to see you there!

Mark’s Work Wearhouse is once again offering truck drivers of Canadian Trucking Alliance members and valued industry employees 10% in-store discounts on apparel and footwear at retail locations across Canada.

Obtaining the discount card is easier than ever. See the discount flyer pdf here and please distribute to employees either electronically or print out.

Happy National Trucking Week!
