Canada:

BCTA would like to remind members that the Government of Canada has removed all COVID-19 testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022.

Effective October 1, 2022, all travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer have to:

  • Submit public health information through the ArriveCAN app or website;
  • Provide proof of vaccination;
  • Undergo pre- or on-arrival testing;
  • Carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation;
  • Monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving to Canada.

U.S.:

The U.S. border vaccination mandate continues to remain in effect.  The U.S. government has not confirmed if they will remove the U.S. border mandate or when the removal of their mandate may occur.

The Canadian Trucking Alliance is working with the American Trucking Associations and U.S. officials on this issue and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
