Starting December 16, crews will begin the next stage of work for the Royal Avenue overpass rehabilitation. Crews will create a work zone in the middle of Royal Avenue between Dufferin Street and McBride Boulevard as shown in blue in the map below. Royal Avenue will be reduced to three lanes (two westbound and one eastbound) for approximately four to five months.

The following turning restrictions will be implemented:

  • Left turns will not be permitted from the southbound off-ramp onto Royal Avenue eastbound for approximately 8-12 weeks. Detour signage will be provided.
  • Access to Bushby Street will be right-in, right-out. All turn movements to and from Leopold Place will be maintained
