The Knight Street Bridge overnight pavement rehabilitation work will continue until the end of October. The public can expect nightly single-lane closures (weather permitting) on the bridge from 9 pm to 5:00 am on weeknights (until 9:00 am on weekends) – at least one lane will always be open to traffic during this work. Please note there is a width restriction of 3.8 metres for commercial vehicles.
As part of TransLink’s Maintenance and Upgrade Program, rehabilitation to the deteriorating components of the Knight Street Bridge will occur through December 2023. More than 100,000 vehicles cross Knight Street Bridge on an average day and, at 49 years old, maintenance is critical to ensuring the safety and reliability of this crossing for all bridge users. This work includes deck bearing replacement, deck resurfacing, and cycling/pedestrian railing replacement.
