The Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) will be implementing extended multi-day closures of the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) east of Golden during the fall 2023 season.

Fall 2023 extended closure dates:

• September 18, 2023 at 12:00 noon to September 22, 2023 at 12:00 noon
• September 25, 2023 at 12:00 noon to October 6, 2023 at 12:00 noon

The alternative traffic route is via Highway 93S and Highway 95, with an additional driving time of approximately 1.5 hours. Roadside signage will provide advance notification of the closure and alternative routes.

Both approaches to Kicking Horse Canyon will be well-signed and traffic control personnel will be onsite to direct traffic as required. Drivers are reminded to obey construction-zone speed limits and the direction of traffic control personnel.
