For the remainder of December and into the new year, there will be twice-weekly, temporary closures on Highway 97 due to blasting.

While work is ongoing at the location of the August rockslide, Callan Road and Okanagan Lake Provincial Park, north of Summerland, will be closed from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Depending on what needs to be done for construction, certain days will be closed. At least 24 hours in advance, updated closure information will be available on the DriveBC.ca website.

Dec. 21–27, 2023, when there isn't any scheduled construction, will see traffic on Hwy 97. During that time, one lane will be open in each direction for traffic control and slide monitoring.
