Attention all drivers: BC Hydro will be implementing two overnight closures of the southbound slow lane on Highway 99 through the George Massey Tunnel, commencing tonight, Monday, June 10.

The closures are scheduled as follows:

• From 10 p.m. on Monday, June 10 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11
• From 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12

These closures are necessary for BC Hydro to carry out essential repairs on its equipment within the tunnel. Drivers are urged to follow posted signs, heed the instructions of traffic-control personnel, and exercise caution around roadside workers.

Please be assured that there is no risk to public safety. This work is a follow-up to the temporary repair conducted on March 20, 2024, which necessitated an immediate closure of the slow lane
