In August, we highlighted our commitment to enhancing transparency within the industry, and the first step for public access to important safety information. The Commercialimage Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) published a list of carriers with National Safety Code (NSC) safety certificates issued in British Columbia. This list is updated on a monthly basis, ensuring that shippers have access to the most current safety information.

When selecting carriers for their transportation needs, shippers can evaluate the safety performance of potential partners by checking for the availability of safety certificates. This initiative aims to foster an environment of accountability and trust within the industry. Having access to this vital information allows businesses to prioritize carriers that demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance, ultimately leading to safer roads and more reliable transport services.

The list for September is now available and can be accessed on the CVSE website.

As we move forward, BCTA remains dedicated to advocating for continuous improvements in industry transparency and safety standards. We encourage all stakeholders to utilize this valuable resource as part of their decision-making process, contributing to a safer and more reliable transportation industry.
