Beginning October 25, 2024, maintenance work will commence on Highway 1 near Three Valley Gap, approximately 20 km west of Revelstoke. The project aims to enhance road safety and durability and will continue through December 20, 2024, with work scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM each day.

During this time, traffic will be reduced to a single lane, with alternating directions managed by traffic personnel. Travelers should expect delays and are encouraged to consider alternate routes where possible. In addition, there is a planned two-hour highway closure on November 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
