Commercial drivers and other road users in BC now have access to more real-time road condition updates, as DriveBC has added 22 new cameras to its network in 2024. These additions provide 37 new views, expanding the total network to 503 cameras offering 1,037 unique perspectives on road and weather conditions.

The newly added cameras have been installed at several key points across the province, including:

  • Highway 1 at 216 Street (Langley): West and east views
  • Highway 14 at West Shore Parkway (Langford to Sooke): North, west, and east views are part of the Highway 14 corridor improvements
  • Paulson Summit on Highway 3: West-facing remote camera
  • Pine Pass on Highway 97: North-facing camera restores coverage near the Powder King Mountain Resort region
