The City of Kamloops is preparing to begin Phase 3 of the Tranquille Road Sanitary Main and Road Enhancement Project in summer 2025, with construction expected to continue into 2026. This phase will affect Tranquille Road between Crestline Street and Southill Street, a key route designated as a Dangerous Goods (TDG) Route.

Given the project's potential impact on trucking operations, especially for those transporting dangerous goods, BCTA is seeking feedback from members to address challenges and collaborate on possible solutions.

Long-term detours and temporary road closures are expected throughout construction, and your input is needed.

If you foresee any challenges or concerns, particularly regarding trucking access along this important TDG route, we encourage you to share your feedback. This is crucial for ensuring that BCTA can work with the City and other stakeholders to minimize disruptions and meet the needs of our industry.

Please email Manuel Ekpini, BCTA Policy Analyst by January 10, 2025.

Your feedback is valuable in shaping solutions that support the trucking industry’s needs during this important project.
