The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is advancing the implementation of new Minimum Security Requirements (MSR) for Partners in Protection (PIP) members. This initiative, which began a few years ago, is part of efforts to align with updates previously made to the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program.

To facilitate this transition, PIP members will temporarily lose access to their security profiles for a 90-day period. During this time, members will be unable to make any adjustments to their security profiles, though all other sections of their member profiles will remain editable.

The CBSA has not yet confirmed the exact start and end dates of the 90-day period but expects it to begin in early February. Members will be notified directly by CBSA with specific details.

Additional updates on the implementation of the new MSRs will be shared during each company’s next revalidation process under the PIP program.
