(LANGLEY, BC)The BC Trucking Association (BCTA) is proud to announce the second edition of Zeroing in on ZEV, a groundbreaking summit showcasing the latest advancements in low- and zero-emission commercial vehicles. Scheduled for February 21, 2024, the free event will feature an impressive display of over 16 medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, making it the largest gathering of its kind in Canada.
Building on the success of the last event, which boasted 11 vehicles, Zeroing in on ZEV aims to highlight the significant strides the trucking industry is making toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. BCTA remains at the forefront of promoting innovative solutions and fostering collaboration within the industry.
February’s ZEV event will not only feature an extensive display of state-of-the-art low- and zero-emission commercial vehicles but also include insightful presentations from industry leaders from across North America. These presentations will delve into how companies have implemented this transformative technology, sharing real-world experiences and lessons learned.
“We’re thrilled to present the largest showcase of low- and zero-emission commercial vehicles in Canada for the second time,” said Dave Earle, BCTA President and CEO. “This event is a testament to the commitment of our industry toward sustainable practices, and it provides a much-needed platform for knowledge-sharing and discussions on the future of transportation in support of the fight against climate change.”
In addition to the vehicle display and presentations, Zeroing in on ZEV will highlight various fuel-saving equipment for commercial vehicles available under the CleanBC Heavy-Duty Vehicle Efficiency Program – an incentive program that provides motor carriers with fuel management strategies and rebates of up to $20,000 per vehicle and $150,000 per fleet for approved fuel-efficiency devices. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing emissions, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
“We believe in continuous progress, and Zeroing in on ZEV is a key initiative in driving positive change within the trucking industry,” added Earle. “We look forward to welcoming industry professionals, stakeholders, and the public to this exceptional event.”
