Calling all class 8 long-haul vehicle carriers! Do you want to improve your safety and driver performance while contributing towards a national study to quantify the safety benefits of fuel-efficient driving?

The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) is conducting a national study on the effect of fuel-efficient driving on crash risk and crash severity in Canada.  Minimal workload is required for participating carriers.

Benefits of participating in this study include:

  • Opportunity to work with experienced researchers to help you mine your fleet management data and increase your ROI by reducing incidents through efficient driving practices.
  • Access to researchers to discuss your priority road safety concerns.
  • Access to research and best practices to inform workplace safety and training programs.

This study is being funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) and will run from May 2021 to June 2022.  Click here for more details of the study and how to participate.
