CVSA will hold an industry roadside inspection training course on Canadian driver requirements March 13-17 at the Alberta Motor Transport Association’s facility in Rocky View, Alberta. The focus of the training will be on regulatory driver-related roadside requirements and out-of-service conditions in Canada.

This course includes information on regulatory definitions, regulations for extra-provincial operations, commercial driver’s license and driver qualification requirements, dangerous goods, the updated electronic logging device rules, federal hours of service rules, annual inspection reports, standards for trip inspection reports, schedules for commercial motor vehicles, human trafficking identification and prevention, and documenting violations.

This course is intended to provide industry with the necessary training to better understand Canadian roadside regulatory requirements. The goal of the training is to provide each carrier with the tools and knowledge to achieve compliance with the roadside safety regulations and a better understand of the relationship between regulatory requirements and out-of-service conditions.
