OTTAWA, ON (October 31, 2024) — Trucking HR Canada has released a new publication celebrating Top Fleet Employers and highlighting the importance of key HR policies and practices.
Called “What Makes a TFE”, the online magazine focuses on each human resources area that is evaluated through the annual Top Fleet Employers program and the Achievement of Excellence Awards given each year. View “What Makes a TFE” here.
“We’re so proud of the accomplishments of all the Top Fleet Employers over the past 11 years,” says Angela Splinter, CEO, Trucking HR Canada. “This publication gives us all something to celebrate and lessons to learn for reaching TFE status. We hope it will inspire more fleets to join the TFE program and deliver truly exceptional HR policies and practices for our industry.”
Trucking HR Canada recently brought national leaders together to celebrate the best employers in trucking and logistics at the annual TFE awards gala in Toronto. A total of 104 fleets earned TFE recognition this year, along with four Top Fleet awards and nine Achievements of Excellence. Six fleets were recognized for 10+ years of TFE distinction.
The Top Fleet Employers program has grown significantly from its inaugural year in 2013, demonstrating the industry’s desire to continue reaching high standards of HR excellence in operations, champion best practices across the industry, and position the sector as a rewarding workplace.
The TFE program honours the best places to work in trucking and logistics in Canada and recognizes excellence in Human Resource practices in the sector.
TFE is not a contest – fleets’ HR practices and initiatives are evaluated to ensure they meet a rigorous standard in multiple criteria. Feedback is also collected from employees, including drivers.
Trucking HR Canada encourages applications from fleets across Canada; applications for the 2025 program are open until February 14, 2025.
