Please note the following information regarding ICBC’s Enhanced Care coverage that came into effect as of May 1, 2021:
Changes to off-highway and Third-Party Liability coverage for vehicle rate classes 030, 100 and 170:
- This risk is no longer covered through ICBC’s Basic Third-Party Liability. Instead, there is an optional Off-highway Third Party Liability coverage for customers with vehicles in the affected rate classes (030, 100 and 170), who operate off-highway. Limits available for this liability coverage are $200K, $1M, $2M, $3M and $5M; and
- There is a transition period in which a Basic Third-Party Liability policy issued prior to May 1, 2021 will continue to cover losses until the policy expires or is cancelled.
