In recent years, the trucking industry has continued to dominate Prostate Cancer Canada’s Plaid for Dad fundraising campaign.  Workplaces and individuals are encouraged to wear plaid on June 18- the Friday before Father’s Day- to raise awareness and funds for prostrate cancer research and support.

1 in 9 Canadian men- grandfathers, dads, husbands, brothers, and sons- will be diagnosed with prostrate cancer in their lifetime.*  Prostrate cancer is the most common cancer and third leading cause of death in Canadian men.

The trucking industry has been actively involved with the campaign since its inception.  The past four years have seen top supporters of the campaign from our industry, and the goal is to keep the fundraising title within trucking for the fifth year in a row.

Members who would like to support the campaign can find more information by visiting the Canadian Cancer Society website, including how to register your company for Plaid for Dad and to donate directly.
