Trucking HR Canada (THRC) has released their May 2022 Special Labour Market report- Driving Economic Recovery.

The LMI report provides updated THRC analysis and their perspective on how the ongoing recovery in the Canadian economy is progressing and the mechanisms driving the demand for key trucking and logistics occupations moving forward.

Summary

Driving Economic Recovery addresses the newly released Statistics Canada Census 2021 data. THRC reports that based on the Census data, changes to the age structure of the Canadian population are likely to have implications for growing retirements across the country. This will significantly affect the trucking and logistics sector, given that our workforce is older than average.
