In order to increase transparency from the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) Branch about enforcement actions taken against unsafe carriers and for greater accountability for carriers regarding the safety of our roads, the National Safety Code (NSC) Program office is publishing a list of BC carriers as of July 15, 2022.

This list will include carriers who have been cancelled for cause under section 118.96 (2)(a) of the Motor Vehicle Act, and not include any carriers cancelled due to inactivity, carriers whose certificate was removed due to the dissolution of organization as recorded in BC Registries, carriers who are deceased, or carriers who chose to voluntarily surrender their National Safety Code certificate.

These carriers cancelled for cause will be published monthly and include those who were cancelled during the previous 36 months. Applications for new safety certificates associated with the carriers on this list, including their directors or officers will be refused under Motor Vehicle Act Regulations 37.03 (2)(a) or (b).

The first published list can be found on the CVSE What’s New webpage.

Did You Know: You can check the safety rating and certificate status of any BC carrier by contacting the NSC program office (NSC@gov.bc.ca or 250-952-0576) and requesting the information based on the name of the carrier.

Please contact the NSC Program Office with any questions or concerns at (250) 952-0576 or NSC@gov.bc.ca.
