Fraser Health has initiated the Rapid Access Clinic for Low Back Pain Pilot to aid primary care providers in improving low back pain management, with a particular focus on individuals in the construction, trades, and transport sectors. The pilot program will run until March 31st 2025.
Key Features:
- The pilot provides after-work-hours free rehab care from an advanced trained physiotherapist, offering teaching and self-management strategies.
- Timely access to a spine surgeon and pain specialist is available if needed.
- Referral to integrated pain, substance use, and mental health services are offered if required during low back pain care.
Who Can Participate?
Those experiencing persistent low back pain or related symptoms not improving within 6 weeks to 12 months, or individuals with unmanageable recurrent/episodic low back pain less than 12 months post-recurrence are eligible.
Already Have a Primary Care Provider?
