Managing human resources efficiently is crucial for the success of small and mid-sized fleets. To aid companies in assessing and improving their HR functions, Trucking HR Canada introduces the HR Circle Check—a comprehensive tool designed to evaluate the effectiveness of HR practices, programs, and policies.

The HR Circle Check focuses on seven critical areas of human resource management:

  1. Recruitment: Assess your strategies for attracting top talent in the competitive trucking industry.
  2. Retention: Evaluate how well your company retains its employees and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Human Resource Management: Analyze the overall management of your HR functions, ensuring they align with best practices.
  4. Total Rewards Compensation: Review your compensation packages, ensuring they are competitive and fair.
  5. Workplace Wellness and Mental Health: Examine the measures in place to support employee well-being and mental health.
  6. Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Assess your company’s commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
  7. Workplace Performance, Training, and Development: Evaluate the effectiveness of your training programs and performance management systems.

Upon completing the evaluation, you will receive a personalized report with tailored recommendations to enhance your HR practices. These recommendations come with direct links to tools, resources, and training materials to support your company in implementing the suggested improvements.

Trucking HR Canada takes data privacy seriously. While your company information and demographics are collected at the beginning of the assessment, this data has no impact on the results. All answers and recommendations are kept in the strictest confidence, adhering to Trucking HR Canada's privacy policies and procedures.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Alberta.
