Reminder: Engine Brake Noise in Residential Areas

BCTA has recently received concerns regarding engine brake noise in the residential areas in and around the Abbotsford Sumas Bypass. We would like to remind carriers to please be conscious of excessive noise produced by their vehicles when travelling through these areas.

MELT Grant Available for BCTA Members Only- Apply Today!

The BC Trucking Association is excited to announce a Mandatory Entry Level Training Grant Opportunity that provides funding to motor carrier members to support relevant skills training for new or current employees. BCTA is the administrator for this grant opportunity and funds accessed will be used to pay for Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) throughout BC.

BC Ferries Commercial Rate Increase Effective April 8, 2022

Effective April 8, 2022, BC Ferries is increasing its commercial rates by an average of 2.3% percent on its Vancouver Island-Mainland routes.

Funds are Running Out- Apply for CleanBC HDVE Program Year Three Incentives Today!

BCTA is pleased to announce that Year Three of the CleanBC Heavy-Duty Vehicle Efficiency (HDVE) Program has been extended until September 30^th, 2022. We are excited to offer an extension to this year’s HDVE Program to provide carriers with five additional months to apply and take advantage of the funding provided by the Province of BC to adopt low carbon solutions that fit their operations.
