Dave is responsible for the overall management and direction of BCTA, in consultation with the BCTA Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He promotes the interests and image of members and the trucking industry to governments, the business community and the public.

Policy, Communications, Training & Events
Binoy Mascarenhas
Director of Policy
Binoy leads the development of BCTA’s strategic policy positions that advance the interests of our members. He works closely with members, government, and industry partners to identify challenges, shape regulatory solutions, and advocate for policies that support a safe, efficient, and competitive transportation sector.
Manuel Ekpini
Policy Analyst
Manuel researches and writes briefing notes, conducts surveys, and works with BCTA committees to develop policy positions and recommendations to advance BCTA government advocacy on behalf of members and the industry. He responds to member inquiries about regulatory matters and provides support in the development of policy-related content and updates for the Bulletin and website.
Jas Purewal
Communications Director
Jas leads the association’s strategic communications, ensuring BCTA’s voice is clear, trusted, and aligned with the needs of BC’s commercial transportation sector. From media relations and advocacy messaging to digital storytelling, brand strategy, and member communications, Jas oversees how BCTA’s work is shared with the industry, government, and the public.
Sandra Stashuk
Membership & Events Lead
Sandra is the first point of connection for our members and the driving force behind our flagship events. Sandra supports member engagement throughout the year, answering questions, assisting with benefits and programs, and helping ensure that every member feels supported, informed, and connected to the BCTA community.
Joel Easey
Marketing & Design Coordinator
Joel brings the BCTA brand to life through creative design, thoughtful storytelling, and strategic marketing support. From social media (including LinkedIn, Blueksy and Facebook) and digital campaigns to print materials, event graphics and member communications, Joel ensures BCTA’s voice is clear, consistent, and engaging.
Sevak Lehal
Training & Events Administrative Coordinator
Sevak is the engine behind our courses and member events, making sure every program runs smoothly, feels welcoming, and delivers real value to the industry. He also brings BCTA’s annual calendar to life, coordinating logistics, supporting sponsors and speakers, and ensuring every attendee has a seamless experience.
Operations & Programs
Michele Nicol
Vice President of Operations
Michele oversees BCTA’s business operations, including accounting, human resources, building, programs, and products. She also provides support to the the Executive Committee of BCTA’s Board of Directors.
Sharon Hansen
Port Pass Coordinator
Sharon coordinates the Port Pass Program, handling program sponsorships and applications and issuing port passes to motor carrier company personnel who require access to Port property.
General Inquiries, Products & Accounting
Jennifer Cameron
Operations Coordinator
Jennifer coordinates BCTA’s products, including product sales, inventory, and the online Store. Jennifer responsibilities include programs, accounts receivable and work that keeps the BCTA’s building and office running efficiently.
Veena Nanubhai
Accounting Coordinator
Veena’s responsibilities include full-cycle accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other related office administration.
Ashley Greenidge
Receptionist
Ashley is your first point of contact with BCTA. She handles reception and provides support for membership inquiries, program communications, product sales, as well as administrative support to other BCTA staff.
