BCTA COVID-19 Impact Survey #7
BCTA is gathering information for our seventh COVID-19 Impact Survey for members to help us quantify the impact COVID-19 is having on the commercial road transportation sector and its sales/service/supply companies for the months of November & December 2020.

Member Update: JRSL Acquires Bison Transport
On January 5, 2021, James Richardson & Sons, Limited and Wescan Capital Inc. announced acquisition of 100 percent of the issued and outstanding shares of BCTA member Bison Transport Inc. and its affiliated companies.
Winnipeg-based Bison was established in 1969 by Duncan M. Jessiman. Wescan is the privately-owned holding company of the Jessiman family.

Agenda update: Join us for a virtual meeting of the Board of Directors on Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 3:15 to 4:15 pm. All members are welcome.
By tradition, the last Board meeting of the year precedes our annual Christmas Party on the first Thursday in December, and members are welcome to attend. In-person celebrations are still out for 2020, but the Board meeting will take place via Zoom as scheduled.

National Trucking Week 2018: From Disruption, a New Road for Trucking
We live in times of turmoil and change. Climate, technology, demographics, and population growth all influence our lives. We can be overwhelmed by these changes or choose to re-define how we live and work. The trucking industry must continue to be flexible and open to the opportunities disruption presents. National Trucking Week, September 2 to 8, is a great time to consider where to go from here.
Member Update: Centurion Trucking Ranks High in 2018 Growth 500
BCTA member Centurion Trucking Inc. ranks 5th in the Transportation and Logistics category in its second year on the Growth 500 list and 131st overall, with a five-year growth rate of 670 percent.
The Growth 500 ranks Canadian businesses on five-year revenue growth.
