On November 16, 2023 the Government of BC announced a first-of-its-kind pilot program to kickstart the use of hydrogen in BC’s commercial trucking industry. $16.5 million from the Province will fund the BC Pilot Hydrogen Truck Project, which will deploy heavy-duty hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks for a diverse range of fleet operators.

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) proposes the construction and operation of a new three-berth marine container terminal located at Roberts Bank in Delta, BC.. The proposed project, to be located next to the existing Deltaport and Westshore Terminals, would provide an additional 2.4 million twenty-foot equivalent units of container capacity per year at Roberts Bank.
