BC Ferries Announces Fare Charges for Oversize Commercial Vehicles - Effective April 1, 2021

BC Ferries announced fare charges effective April 1, 2021 for commercial oversize vehicles and created an additional rate class for vehicles greater than 9ft and up to 13ft wide to correspond with the space those vehicles use on the vehicle deck.

Night Work: Horseshoe Bay Terminal

BC Ferries is conducting construction work at the Horseshoe Bay Terminal to maintain aging infrastructure. The work will begin in mid/late March 2021 and be completed in July 2021.

The project includes concrete restoration work on the terminal’s elevated vehicle transfer deck, which is necessary to maintain the infrastructure. Traffic patterns in the terminal will be modified to accommodate the work. Customers are reminded to follow the direction of staff.

Pattullo Bridge Replacement: Prep Starts Feb 13

Fraser River Crossing partners be working in-river on the new Pattullo Bridge tower foundation between February 13 and 28, 2021. There will be no traffic disruption, this is just fyi.

Crews will place rock for bridge foundation protection and install the first piles that will form the foundation for the bridge tower. Major project construction is scheduled to begin in the coming months.

Kicking Horse Canyon: Extended Spring Closure, Hwy 1

From April 12 to May 14, 2021, through traffic on Highway 1 from Golden to Castle Junction will be routed via Highways 93 and 95. This will add up to 1.5 hours of travel time. Roadside signage will provide advance notification of the closure and alternative routes will also have signage.
