BCTA is once again proud to offer its annual scholarships to support the educational goals of students connected to our Motor Carrier and Associate Members. Whether you’re entering your first year of post-secondary studies or continuing into a second, third, or even fourth year, we encourage eligible applicants to apply.
We urge you to share this opportunity with your employees—particularly those with children planning to attend post-secondary school in the 2026/2027 academic year. While the July 31 deadline may seem far off, please don’t delay. One of the most common reasons applications are declined is that they’re incomplete. Gathering required documents like transcripts and proof of enrollment can take time, so get started early!
For Students Entering First Year Post-Secondary (2026/27):

*The Kerry Winkler Memorial Scholarships were created in memory of Kerry Winkler by his family and ColdFront, his former employer. One scholarship is awarded to a high school graduate entering their first year of post-secondary, funded by ColdFront, and one is awarded to a returning student entering at least their second year, funded by the Winkler family.
Each scholarship is valued at $1,250.

- A summary of career goals
- Details about your community involvement and/or extracurricular activities
