The BC Trucking Association is excited to announce a Mandatory Entry Level Training Grant Opportunity that provides funding to motor carrier members to support relevant skills training for new or current employees.

BCTA is the administrator for this grant opportunity and funds accessed will be used to pay for Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) throughout BC.

BCTA Letter Regarding Vancouver’s Proposed Speed Reduction Pilot Along Truck Route Network

The BC Trucking Association has submitted a letter to the City of Vancouver to express significant concern with the speed reduction pilot being proposed.

The City is recommending that the speed limit be lowered on sections of the truck route network at elementary schools. BCTA believes that if this pilot is implemented, it will create a byzantine road network that further diminishes safety along the intended and adjacent corridors.
