Planned Full Closure of Nordel Way between River Way and Highway 91C & Nordel Weigh Scale Closed
As part of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, significant construction work is planned along Highway 91C and the intersection at Nordel Way/Weigh Scale Road to prepare for the opening of two new interchanges this summer. A full closure of the intersection at Nordel Way/Weigh Scale Road near Highway 91C is required over several days from June 30 to July 4, 2022, accompanied by lane closures on Highway 91C between Highway 17 and Highway 91.

Pattullo Bridge: Full Closures to Come
As part of the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project, Fraser Crossing Partners will be rehabilitating the structure and replacing the deck of the Royal Avenue overpass in New Westminster starting in June.
This work will be done in stages and work zones will be implemented first on the Bridge Connector (below the overpass) starting in mid-June and then on Royal Avenue in August. Full closures of Bridge Connector in both directions will also be implemented as part of the overall rehabilitation plan. Please watch for signage on exact dates.
Traffic Impacts: Highway 91 and Nordel Way
Please be reminded that nightly full closures of Highway 91, between 72 Avenue and the Nordel Way Overpass, will be required to transport bridge girders for the future interchange bridge at Highway 91 and Nordel Way. These closures are scheduled to take place from June 3 to 5, 2022, between 11 pm - 5 am.
Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project
Royal Avenue on-ramp: On May 16 and 27, the Royal Avenue on-ramp will be temporarily closed for two hours between 10 pm and 5 am for utility investigation work. When the Royal Avenue on-ramp is closed, drivers will be directed to use the Columbia Street loop-ramp via McBride Boulevard. Detour signage will be in place.
