Temporary signals: Highway 91

Temporary signal lights have been installed at the intersection of Highway 97 and Skaha Hills Drive/Sandhill Road.

The temporary signal lights will remain in place while the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure continues to work in collaboration with the Penticton Indian Band on a long-term solution to upgrade the intersection.

Pattullo Bridge: August 12 Lane Closures

As part of the ongoing work on the Royal Avenue overpass in New Westminster for the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project, the northbound lanes on the Pattullo Bridge will be closed to all vehicles between 10 pm and 5 am on Friday, August 12.

Highway 7 Widening – 266th Street to 287th Street

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is upgrading a four-kilometre segment of the Highway 7 Widening project – 266th Street to 287th Street in Maple Ridge will be widened from an undivided two-lane highway to four lanes with a centre median barrier. This is the final undivided two-lane section of the highway between Maple Ridge and Mission.

Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project Update: Planned Opening of Northbound Off-ramp to Nordel Way

As part of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, the new off-ramp from Highway 91 northbound to Nordel Way is expected to open on August 20, 2022. Please see map below for location details. Project construction activities will continue in the area during the months ahead as part of improvements to the Highway 91 at Nordel Way Interchange, and a number of traffic pattern changes will be required.

This bridge is an important link for the North and South Peace regions that connects Fort St. John to Dawson Creek via Taylor. Approximately 7,500 vehicles cross the bridge every day- 30% of this traffic is commercial truck traffic.

Traffic Impacts: New Access to Nordel Way Truck Parking Area & Closure of Highway 91 Nordel Way offramps

As part of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, a temporary truck parking lot at 10008-10022 River Road has been available for commercial vehicles. Following the recent opening of the new interchange at Highway 91C and Nordel Way to traffic, access will be restored to the Nordel Way Truck Parking Area as of July 31, 2022.
