Kicking Horse Canyon – May 2023 Traffic Schedule
The Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) will be implementing evening intermittent lane closures and overnight full closures on Trans-Canada Highway for the Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 construction through May.

Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project- Nighttime temporary closures of Highway 91C ramps
As part of the final remaining works on the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, temporary nighttime full closures of Highway 91C ramps will be required in early May. Please see below for closure locations and detour maps.

New Westminster Columbia Street Closures- April & May 2023
Starting April 17, weekday and weekend traffic pattern changes will be implemented on Columbia Street between McBride Boulevard and Elliot Street for the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project. This work will take approximately five weeks.
Closure of Royal Avenue and Pattullo Bridge Northbound
Starting on Friday, April 28, to the morning of Monday, May 1, Fraser Crossing Partners will require road closures in New Westminster to replace the Royal Avenue overpass bridge deck.
Fri April 28 (7am-7pm)
- The Royal Avenue off-ramp from the Bridge Connector northbound will be reduced to one lane
Closures to Highway 1 Near Hope Starting April 17
A rock-scaling project is about to begin along Highway 1 near Hunter Creek, about 10 kilometres west of Hope, to mitigate the risk of potential rockfall.
Rock-scaling work will begin on April 17, 2023, and requires multiple daily short closures of the Trans-Canada Highway in both directions near Exit 160 at Hunter Creek Road. The work is estimated to take six weeks.
Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project: Closures at Highway 17/River Road Interchange
As part of the final remaining works on the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, a series of nighttime temporary full closures at the River Road interchange connecting to Highway 17 will be required this month. Please see maps below for closure locations and detour details.

Traffic Notification for Simon Fraser Bridge Rehabilitation
Drivers are advised that starting Saturday, March 25, at 5:30 a.m., the section of Ferry Avenue/Queensway from Clapperton Street to Moyie Street will be closed for 24 hours to begin work on replacing a section of the southbound bridge. The road will reopen at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 26.
Drivers can also expect short stretches of single-lane alternating traffic in this same section on Ferry Avenue/Queensway from March to May 2023.
Traffic Notification — Highway 91C Westbound Offramp to Nordel Way Closure
As part of the final remaining works on the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, a temporary full closure of the Highway 91C westbound offramp to Nordel Way will be required in mid-April. Please see the map below for the closure location and detour route.

Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project - Highway 17/River Road Interchange Closure
As part of the final remaining works on the Highway 91/17 Upgrade Project, a series of nighttime temporary full closures at the River Road interchange connecting to Highway 17 will be required in early April. Please see maps below for closure locations and detour details.

Highway 99 at Steveston Interchange to Close Overnight March 5
Drivers are advised that Highway 99 will be closed overnight Sunday, March 5, at the Steveston Interchange to allow crews to complete the relocation of a BC Hydro electrical line.
During the highway closure, traffic will be detoured up and over the existing on- and off-ramps. Short-term traffic stoppages on the ramps may also be necessary during the work.
