GranFondo: September 9th Road Restrictions, Hwy 1/Sea-to-Sky Hwy
The annual RBC GranFondo Cycling Event, taking place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, will require road closures and create restrictions throughout the day along the West Vancouver to Whistler corridor. Only commercial vehicles under 40,000 kg GVW and 20 metres in length will be allowed on the route.
Kicking Horse Canyon – August 2023 Traffic Schedule
The Kicking Horse Canyon Constructors (KHCC) will be implementing evening intermittent lane closures and overnight full closures on Trans-Canada Highway for the Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 construction through August.

Trans-Canada Highway Improvements Come to Shuswap Region
Improvements to the Trans-Canada Highway between Ford Road and Tappen Valley Road are scheduled to begin this fall.
Closures at Phibbs Exchange: Dollarton Highway, North Vancouver
The Highway 1 westbound off-ramp to Dollarton Highway in North Vancouver (Exit 23B) will be temporarily closed next week due to the Phibbs Transit Exchange project.
The ramp closure will be in place from 5 am on Monday, July 31, until 10 pm on Wednesday, August 9.
Vehicles exiting Highway 1 westbound to access Dollarton Highway and Deep Cove can use the next exit (23A) to access a temporary detour that follows the Highway 1 off-ramp to Main Street.
Traffic Impacts: Nighttime Full Closures Pattullo Bridge Aug 3-4
Starting 10pm on Thursday, August 3rd and continuing until 5am on Friday, August 4, the Pattullo Bridge will be closed in both directions.
During this nighttime closure, Pattullo Bridge users are encouraged to take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser during the closure.

Highway 4: Cameron Lake Bluffs Project Update
Rock scaling work continues toward the reopening of the Cameron Lake Bluffs section of Highway 4. One of the four cranes that are in place on the highway will be removed by the end of Friday, July 21. Rock-scaling works will continue on the east bluff where the second and third cranes are supporting the mesh barrier.
The highway continues to be closed for two periods daily, from 9-11:30 a.m., and again from 1:30-5 p.m. There will be no closures overnight or on weekends, including on the B.C. Day long weekend. Work is scheduled to be completed in mid-August.
Knight Street Bridge Project Update
The Knight Street Bridge overnight pavement rehabilitation work will continue until the end of October. The public can expect nightly single-lane closures (weather permitting) on the bridge from 9 pm to 5:00 am on weeknights (until 9:00 am on weekends) – at least one lane will always be open to traffic during this work. Please note there is a width restriction of 3.8 metres for commercial vehicles.
Traffic Impact: Hwy 99 Bus-On-Shoulder Transit Lanes Project
Work is currently underway on the Hwy 99 Bus-On-Shoulder Transit Lanes Project in Delta (Hwy 99 between Hwy 17A and 96 St.) and will be ongoing until July 2023.
There may be nightly lane closures on southbound Hwy 99 between Hwy 17A and 96 St. There is a low shoulder condition, with a corresponding speed reduction to 60km/h in place at all times through the work area. Please be aware that there will be trucks and heavy equipment working at night in the lane closure throughout this corridor.
Improved Cell Connectivity on Highway 14
Those travelling from Sooke to Port Renfrew will have cellular service with the completion of seven new cell towers. This 70-kilometre stretch of Highway 14 did not have wireless network coverage previously.
$5 million was invested in this project by the Government of BC and $695,000 by Rogers Communications, who completed the work.
